Well, no. But that doesn’t mean the system isn’t biased for you. You speak and write a particular dialect of English that is considered more “correct” than forms that other communities use for their communication. You also recieved over ten years of education ins chools that are considerably better equipped than schools for more marginalized people.

You realise that the UK has (or had? not sure how much damage Cameron has inflicted) policies that go so far as to actively encourage employers to hire ‘minorities’, which is as racist as anything else.

Yeah, it’s not racist to not hire people for having a funny name, but it is racist to tell employers that a perfectly qualoified candidate for a job can’t be turned down because they have a funny name.
Obviously attitudes need to change - I want race to be out of the picture when it comes to these issues as much as anyone, but taking the same approach as feminism isn’t going to work out in my opinion. That is, if my opinion isn’t just discarded due to my skin colour.
Your opinion is, that you’re used to everything going your way, and when someone says other people are more disadvantaged, and deserve some extra help to catch up, you complain that those people are racist against you.

since perhaps some of them feel threatened by LGBT-friendly attitudes. Not ideal, but they would be denied. This kind of reasoning is what I am against. Fighting discrimination with preferential treatment is a facade. Give us all true equality as a starting point or nothing at all.
But “true equality” only works when everyone starts at the same position. I have tried expplaining it to you for the past hour. Some people are from birth in a less privileged position than you. This is something that reflects on everything, starting from how good treatment their mother gets in the hospital, to how likely they are to survive infancy, to how teachers treat them in schools, which schools they even go to, how much schools respect the langauge they speak witht heir family and neighbours, to how liekly they are to get a job after graduation, and all during this, how likely they are to be harassed by security guards, the police, and random people on the street.
Saying you should treat everyone equal ignores where they come from. It’s putting a one legged man in a footrace and saying he has equal chance to win.

Privilege != god comples. Privilege = having odd stacked in your favor. Privilege = recieving hundreds of small, everyday advantages other people have to work for. Privilege = not feeling out of place in public areas. Privilege = being pardoned of small trespasses much easier.
Racism = systematic prejudice against a marginalized group. Something that is based on a historical power dynamic. There is prejudice against white people, yes. But it doesn’t hold the candle to racism. White countries weren’t invaded by people of color, white people weren’t enslaved, shipped across oceans to forced labor (Australians don’t count, that was done by other white people), there weren’t laws that made them 3/5 a human being, there weren’t laws preventing them to move out from areas hostile to them, there weren’t laws fornbidding white people entry to certain countries. White people didn’t wake up to see a burning cross on their front yard, or a “WHITES OUT OF BRITAIN” Graffiti painted on their front door. White English isn’t called a bastardation of the language, and considered a grammar error in an exam. A crime commited by a white person is considered a crime by an individual, not a crime by the whole race.
