I know I’ve brought it up a lot but guys. The U.S. is pretending to be post-racial.

But.

Mitt Romney is a real candidate.

Can all my white followers just really take that in for a minute?

The White guy who said “I love good schools” and then looked around like he was waiting for a motherfuckin gold star. The White guy who cut off the moderator almost every time he tried to speak. The White guy who doesn’t meet the basic standards for human decency. The White guy who doesn’t believe in Civil Rights. The White guy who speaks in racialized code during every speech he gives.

Is an actual candidate.

And is, by many, considered a legitimate opponent of the current President who has ended a war that had been going on for over a decade, extended access to healthcare (even though it is problematic), is for Civil Rights, and IS ACTUALLY ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE CURRENT TOPIC OF DEBATE.

But this election has nothing to do with race.
