I have an exam tomorrow in my Substance Abuse Counselling class
And I completely forgot to go to the TA session to find out what to study
And forgot about the exam until earlier tonight
Because I am too preoccupied with my inability to write a “Culture and Media” paper.
Maybe it’s the 4 years of studying psychology
But I really don’t understand how citing a paper about someone’s subjectively interpreted theories is considered hard evidence to prove the validity of your subjectively interpreted theories. That just… I can’t even process it.
I either need an academic paper based on quantifiable data. Or a piece of writing based on lived experiences with a distinct mood.
This “culture and media” thing. This “in MLA format” thing. I do not get it. I just do not understand this at all.
And I know I can get a decent grade on the exam because I pay attention in class and take good notes because obviously substance abuse counselling is something that is of great importance to me. But I would always prefer to get an A+. Because I have serious anxiety surrounding being graded in general.
